ABOUT SIN AND SALVATION

All have sinned and are in need of salvation. We have access to salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Faith without works is dead. Faith leads to obedience to Jesus' words prompting believers to be born again of Water and of The Spirit, a message echoed by Peter on the Day of Pentecost. Faith leads to repentance, baptism, the infilling of the Holy Spirit, and walking in newness of life.

(Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 5:1–2; James 2:17; James 2:26; John 3:3–5; Acts 2:37–38; Acts 19:1–6; Romans 6:3–4; Titus 3:5–6)

ABOUT THE
GOSPEL

The saving gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. We obey the gospel, by repentance (turning toward God), water baptism in the Name of Jesus Christ (burial), and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. (resurrection).

1 Corinthians 15:1–4; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3–5; Colossians 2:12; Acts 10:44–48; Acts 19:1–6

ABOUT CHRISTIAN LIVING

As Christians, we are called to love God and to love others. We strive to live a holy life both inwardly and outwardly, presenting ourselves as living sacrifices to God and worshiping Him with joy and sincerity. We walk by faith and not by sight, speaking the truth in love and remaining steadfast in our commitment to Christ regardless of the cultural influences around us.
(Matthew 22:37–39; 1 Peter 1:15–16; Romans 12:1–2; John 4:23–24; 2 Corinthians 5:7; Ephesians 4:15)

ABOUT THE
FUTURE

Jesus Christ is coming again to receive His church into Heaven. In

the end will be the final resurrection and the final judgment. The righteous will inherit eternal life, and the unrighteous eternal death.

The Holy Spirit and Spiritual Warfare

Before His ascension, Jesus commanded His followers to wait for the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, who would empower and guide His Church (John 14:16–17; Acts 1:4–8).

After Jesus ascended, the Holy Spirit was poured out on the Day of Pentecost, filling believers and establishing the Church’s divine power and direction for all generations (Acts 2:1–4). On this day, Peter, the man with the keys to the kingdom (Matthew 16:18–19), got up and preached that repentance, baptism and the gift of Holy Spirit is promised for all that are afar off (Acts 2:38).

Being filled with the gift of Holy Spirit produces the fruit of righteousness (Galatians 5:22–23), empowers believers for spiritual warfare (Ephesians 6:10–18), and manifests spiritual gifts for the strengthening of the Church and the advancement of truth (1 Corinthians 12:4–11).

Spiritual warfare is real and God has not left His people powerless; through His Spirit we are equipped with the power we need to stand firm, take up the whole armor of God, and walk daily in His strength and victory.
